Here is how information is handled when you browse, buy a book, or join the club.
Who is responsible?
This site, the books and the club are offered under the name The Honest Mechanic. Contact us at [email protected].
When you browse
No account or sign-up form is needed to browse. These pages do not set cookies or use analytics tags, advertising cookies, or tracking pixels. A hosting provider may process ordinary request information, such as your IP address and the requested page, to serve and protect the site.
If a link to this site includes a source reference, the books page passes that reference to Payhip checkout as purchase metadata.
When you buy a book
Payhip handles checkout and payment information under its own privacy policy. The email address and order details provided with a purchase are used to deliver PDF download links, keep purchase records, and handle purchase issues and refund requests. Payment details are entered with the payment provider, not into this site.
Club membership
Truck Owner Academy (formerly The Garage Bench Club) is a monthly video club costing $19.90 a month (USD). Payhip handles checkout and recurring payments under its own privacy policy. Your email address is used to send lesson links. Purchase details, membership status and billing dates are used to manage access, cancellations and refund requests.
When you contact us
Your email address and the contents of your message are used to handle your request. Please do not send passwords or full card details.
How information is used
Purchase and contact information is used for order administration, book delivery, membership administration and purchase issues. Personal information is not sold or rented, or shared for advertising.
Your choices
Email [email protected] to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information held for this business. Information may need to be kept for purchase records or legal obligations. For information held by Payhip or the payment provider, contact that provider. Your statutory consumer rights are not affected.
Updates
Changes to this policy will be posted on this page with an updated date.
